A new breed of theme park is expected to open in Pleasant Grove, Utah in 2015. Evermore is being called an ‘Adventure Park’ by its creators. Evermore will be a time traveling portal putting guests into the Victorian era. After entering the park, guests will experience a unique twist. The park will be a choose-your-own adventure experience, with options for guests who want to explore and immerse themselves into the Victorian themed environment.
The experience at Evermore will be enhanced by park employees who will play crucial roles in guests’ adventures. Each employee will follow a script dependent on the choices made by park goers. When Evermore opens it will boast will have a town square, ice cream parlor, three restaurants, a lake with an island and a Victorian hotel that will be open to guests. In addition, three thousand trees will be planted in the park to help bring the fantasy world alive. Evermore Founder, Ken Bretschneider, said in an interview with KSL Salt Lake City that, “Houses and buildings in the area won’t be visible from the inside of the park, and guests will only see landscaping and mountains.”
Bretschneider showed that he is optimistic that Evermore will be well-received by investing 20 million dollars of the 100 million dollar budget. “Give us a chance to build this thing, and come out to enjoy it and experience it. It’s going to be amazing,” Bretschneider told KSL.
Crews have been working on Evermore for the past two years, and are aiming to have phase one complete fall 2015.
