Ever since Six Flags has offered season passes, they have used the traditional card with photo method. Now, nearly five years after the finger scanning method became popular around Disney parks, most Six Flags parks will finally switch to the finger scanning method. According to Star-Telegram, the method was used at three different Six Flags parks as a test to prove how successful the system would be. “We will be rolling it out all of 2014 and 2015. Hurricane Harbor will be this year,” said Jay Thomas.

Jay Thomas, Vice President of Project Management Offices and Information Technology, said he has been working on the project for the past 18 months. He said the new system is going to decrease season pass processing lines and increase customer satisfaction. “That’s what drove the biometrics at the front gate. It makes the process a whole lot easier,” said Thomas.
