Doswell, VA – Kings Dominion announced today that the park will be adding a Food & Wine Festival to its 2024 season of events. Guests will be able to enjoy a wide assortment of exceptional wines alongside specially prepared culinary delights during their park visit this summer. The event begins on August 2 and is located in the Old Virginia section of the park.

The event will feature wines from popular local wineries as well as from some of the state's top wine producers such as Prince Michel, Chateau Morrisette, Barboursville, Stinson Vineyards, Williamsburg Winery, and Rockbridge. Guests can pair their favorite wines with family-friendly evening activities, and a decadent, limited-time menu. Items include a charcuterie board with lavender honey, a flight of three spreads and flatbreads that includes whipped herb goat cheese, a fondu dipping option, and a sweets plate with chocolate cherries, figs, and wrapped dates.

"The Food and Wine Festival is another example of how we continue to innovate and provide a unique, world class amusement park experience for our guests," said Bridgette Bywater, Vice President and General Manager of Kings Dominion. "Guests will have an exclusive opportunity to enjoy some of the tasty local wines, paired with some of the most delicious and unique food around, in a setting like no other."

In addition to the food and wine, guests will be able to kick back and enjoy the soothing tunes of live local bands and roaming musicians, including a barbershop quartet. Guests can also improve their wine knowledge by attending a guided wine tasting. Kids and competitors can let loose with over-the-top lawn games. The park will also have a ginormous paint-by-number mural where everyone can be an artist.

The Food and Wine Festival occurs on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, August 2 to 25, with the exception of August 23, when the park is scheduled to be closed. The event begins at 2:00 p.m. and will run into late evening each night in accordance with the park schedule. Guests are encouraged to check the Kings Dominion website and social media for details on event hours. Admission to the event is included with the cost of a regular park ticket or 2024 Season Pass, but guests will need to purchase food and wine separately.
