JACKSON, N.J. — JUNE 25, 2026 — More than 135 children registered for the World’s Largest Swimming Lesson at Hurricane Harbor New Jersey on Thursday morning as Six Flags Great Adventure joined hundreds of waterparks, aquatic centers and swim schools around the world to promote the importance of water safety education.

Held under sunny skies at Blue Lagoon, the event brought together families, park team members and volunteers from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Coastal & Northern New Jersey for a fun and educational experience focused on building confidence in and around the water.

The annual event reinforces the importance of teaching basic swimming and water safety skills at an early age while helping raise awareness of drowning prevention.

Following the lesson, participating children and their families enjoyed a day at Hurricane Harbor New Jersey and connected with volunteers from Goldfish Swim School and local area first responders, who were promoting continued aquatics education and safety.
